This really resonated with me. Why keep swimming against the current when I know I'm not being heard in that community? I have the power to change which community I talk to.
Great simple thought that I think we forget or don't want to acknowledge when people don't listen or aren't moved by our points or thoughts. I will admit it is frustrating, but I believe what we need to realize is that sometimes the best you can do is present the evidence or share that wisdom and let the hearer or readers do with it what they will. Hoping that it will either help them see where you are coming from or at least think about it.
